Nature of Work
|
This position assists in maintaining food service facilities and equipment in a neat, clean, safe and sanitary condition; to assist in the preparation, setting up and serving of food; and to do other related work as required.
|
|
Duties and Responsibilities
|
- Assist with the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and other meals.
- Follow established recipes, portion sizes, menus, and food safety procedures.
- Provide friendly and courteous service to students and staff.
- Set up and maintain serving lines and food preparation areas.
- Wash dishes, trays, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen equipment.
- Complete daily cleaning and sanitation of kitchen, serving, and dining areas.
- Sweep and mop floors, wipe tables and counters, empty trash, and maintain clean work areas.
- Properly store food, supplies, dishes, and equipment.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food and supplies.
- Follow all health, sanitation, safety, and Child Nutrition Program procedures.
- Work cooperatively with cafeteria staff and assist with other duties as assigned.

•Knowledge of laws, rules, codes, and guidelines pertaining to facility operations.
•Knowledge of safety precautions.
