Nature of Work

This position helps provide a safe, clean learning environment for students, staff, and faculty.   

Duties and Responsibilities

•Maintains daily work schedule for routine cleaning in all assigned areas.

•Ensures that tasks meet quality standards.

•Maintains cleaning supply inventory.

•Dusts and mops floors.

•Vacuums carpets.

•Cleans restrooms and restocks paper and soap supplies.

•Empties trash receptacles and bags trash for proper disposal.

•Locks doors after cleaning areas.

•Assists in loading and unloading of supplies as needed.

•Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•Effectively communicate with all members of the school district and community.

•Effectively communicate with students and their family members.

•Knowledge of hand, power, and diagnostic tools and equipment required to perform the job.

•Knowledge of laws, rules, codes, and guidelines about custodial/facility operations.

•Knowledge of safety precautions.

•Knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials.
